At Schaffenburg Office Furniture this flows through the family business. A company that is passed on from parent to child and, just like the family, has deep-rooted norms and values. Entrepreneurship is the desire for growth, but responsibly, so that it can be passed on to the next generation. This is reflected throughout the company!

We have five pillars on which we look at the environment, personnel, products and the machines we use.

 

People

Our employees are essential to the performance of the company. We realize that in all their contacts they can make the difference between an excellent or a poor experience. We are an ECABO certified training company and continuously offer students and pupils the opportunity to gain work experience at our organization through an internship.

Finally, we offer young people who are at a distance from the labor market the opportunity to make a new start with us. We do this by giving them the opportunity to gain temporary work experience within our organization and thus build up their CV for a positive future.

 

Environment

We take possible environmental effects into account as much as possible when designing and producing our furniture.
Environmental effects such as the use of undesirable substances and the recycling of various types of materials generally determine the lifespan of the furniture. These are parts of a continuous process in the chain of environmental policy and care. We strive for a continuous reduction in energy consumption, CO2 emissions, acidification and toxicity.

 

Logistics

Efficient logistics planning and the choice of energy-efficient commercial vehicles contribute to corporate social responsibility. Since 2013 we have been using a Renault Twizzy, a fully electric car that we use for customer visits. Our entire fleet complies with the Euro 6 standard. This means we more than meet the requirements of the set environmental zones.

 

Product

The choice of raw materials for our products is essential. We try to limit the use of environmentally harmful materials or components as much as possible. For example, we use recycled steel and recycled plastic in our products.

We also use pure new wool or materials recycled into fabric on our upholstered furniture. We offer used packaging materials separately. We comply with ISO standards and are certified for this. The polystyrene in the packaging material is recycled into granules and reused in seating elements from our range. Production processes such as epoxidizing steel are tested for social responsibility.

 

Continuity

Schaffenburg Office Furniture is a financially healthy, independent company and not dependent on external capital providers.

We put forward a consistent strategy aimed at continuity and growth. For this we have received a Graydon Award for financial reliability.
